Hello, my name is Cheryl. I created Cai Baby following the birth of my daughter, Isabella. I first experienced infant massage while volunteering at a home for street girls in India. The benefits were clear to see.
I also benefited from attending baby massage classes with Isabella, and know there are so many positives for parents and babies from attending a 5 week course.
My background is in the charity sector. I have worked for national baby loss charities for over a decade, providing bereavement support and improving bereavement care.
I trained with the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) and am a Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI). IAIM is the largest and longest running infant massage association in the world - setting the gold standard in infant massage education and expertise.
My training is accredited by The Royal College of Midwives, Embody and the Complementary Therapists Association.
‘Infant massage allows parents to experience the delights of bonding and attachment during the most sensitive period of their baby's social and emotional development. I particularly admire the dedication of the IAIM for creating a practical setting for bonding and attachment to develop; and I'm incredibly proud to be the UK patron of an association whose work continues to set the gold standard in matters of infant touch communication and child development. ’
Sir Richard Bowlby
